Clocks for the rink, the field, the course and the lake, built so that not even we can read your team.

One app per sport, on the coach's phone. The roster and the games are encrypted before they reach us; families follow from a link; no one's data is sold or shared, and nothing shows ads. And one for the cold plunge, built on the same clock.

ClubClock Hockey, 1st period. Sample team.
ClubClock Hockey during the 1st period: Ducks 1, Storm 0, about eight minutes left, Stop and Set to scoreboard, a power play with under a minute left on it, We scored and Goal against, shots 5 to 3.
Two parents in knit hats watch a youth hockey game from the cold bleachers, a thermos between them, the game soft behind the glass.

For the rink and the field down the road.

I build these for my kids' teams. These are the apps I wanted: the clock in step with the board, the minutes adding up on their own, and the family watching from a link, with nothing about the kids readable by anyone outside the team.Ryan H

Hockey

Score, shots and penalties from the stands. A stop-time clock in step with the rink's scoreboard, and a link so the family at home sees the goal first.

The clock
You tap Stop at the whistle and Start at the drop; miss one, and Set to scoreboard puts it right.
The box
Penalty times from your period length (1:30 at 12U, USA Hockey Rule 402); a minor ends when the other side scores.

Cold Plunge

A cold plunge timer for the tub at home and the group at the lake: one session, a timer for each person, kept from one phone on the dock.

Sunday at the lake · in the water

  1. Sam3:02Out
  2. Ryan2:41In
  3. Jo1:58In
Your time
Counts up from the moment you are in; alone at home, a timer and a log.
The group
Everyone starts on Go; each gets out on their own time, and the group sees who is still in.
The watch
Planned: Apple Watch keeps your own time, and one that senses water notices when you get in and out.

In development for iPhone and Apple Watch; a first web version is up. Nothing to download yet.

Four things true of every ClubClock sport app.

  1. Encrypted before it leaves the phone

Each team has a random key that never reaches us. The roster, games, lineups, minutes and stats are encrypted with it on the phone. A player is a first name and a jersey number, a last name only if the coach types one; there is nowhere to put a birthday, a photo or an address.

  2. Yours to take with you

Any browser, any phone; the iPhone app once it ships. Sign in on a new phone and one of your team's other devices hands the team over, encrypted so only those two devices can read it. Delete a player, a game, a team or your account in the app.

  3. Easy to share, hard to leak

Other coaches join by link and log to the same game from their own phones. Families follow from a link with no app and no account. One parent can take one job: shots, saves, a mile marker.

  4. Built for a bad signal

Saved on the phone first; retried on its own; merged if two phones changed the game. The clock stores when it started, not a count, so it survives sleep and reloads. Every save is kept for 30 days.

The three sport apps do all four today. ClubClock Cold Plunge is being built on the same core, so a plunge session would be encrypted like a team and each person in it would be a first name; until it ships, read the four as the plan for it, not a promise. The whole ledger of what our server can and can't see is on the privacy page.

Pick the apps you want and leave an address. Hockey and soccer send a TestFlight invite for iPhone now; cross country, when its first iPhone build is ready; Cold Plunge, one note when its iPhone and Apple Watch apps are out. Android: a note when its beta opens.

The list is for that and nothing else, and it goes when the apps are out.
